Diese 99 SS Modell mit 600 ccm wurde nur ein Jahr so gebaut. Original ein Amal Monobloc Vergaser Version und Chrom Schutzblechen. Als Option war auch eine zwei Vergaser Version erhältlich. Ab 1962 hatte die Norton 99 dann 650 ccm.
Aus 3. Hand, Erstbesitzer war Alan Jones ein bekannter Testfahrer im Norton Werk von Birmingham GB. mit allen Unterlagen und 1. Inverkehrsetzung bis zurück ins Jahr 1962 mit Zeitungsartikel von Alan Jones, Werks-Testfahrer.

99 Sports Special
The 99 Sports Special Dominator (99SS) was introduced in 1961 as a higher performance version of the 99. The model had the option of twin Amal Monobloccarburettors, and came with polished inlet ports and a hotter camshaft that had previously been fitted to the Manxman. A siamesed exhaust was fitted, or the option of a dual system and the option of chrome mudguards. Motor Cyclemagazine obtained a top speed of 108 mph (174 km/h) during a test of the 99SS. The model was dropped after only a year when the 650SSwas introduced in 1962.
